New courthouse designed to support modern judicial operations while complementing the adjacent historic courthouse Extensive stakeholder engagement and space planning informed security, in-custody circulation, and flexible community-use spaces 360 Engineering designed energy-efficient mechanical and plumbing systems, including gas-fired rooftop units with variable air volume distribution and a variable-flow hydronic boiler system Conducted first-cost and energy-use analyses to help the County select the most cost-effective HVAC solution Collaborated with the structural team to design custom wind baffles that minimize odors from nearby rail activity and protect outdoor air intakes
South Adams County Water and Sanitation District Office Annex
Converted former maintenance garage into modern office and conference space, creating a flexible work environment Integrated Annex and adjacent Stevenson Building into a unified geothermal system, transitioning from a reservoir-based system to a centralized ground-loop configuration Coordinated closely with Major Geothermal to design a compact central well field and plant located within the Annex Building to efficiently serve both facilities Leveraged existing heat pump equipment in the Stevenson Building to reduce construction costs and maintain system functionality during upgrades Phased installation and sequencing allowed the Stevenson Building to remain operational throughout construction, enabling a seamless transition to the new geothermal system with minimal downtime Photography credit Tim Gormley / tgimage.com
