Managing Your Facility Upgrade or Equipment Replacement Project
Leading Architect and Engineering Teams
360 Engineering has proven successful in leading projects of all sizes. Our leadership and knowledgeable, objective approach allows us to manage architect and engineer design teams to meet your goals.
We focus on you throughout the project, from simple equipment upgrades to complex facility improvements, total system replacements, and large multidimensional ground-up builds.
Our first step is meeting with you to review your goals and objectives. Once we understand those, we outline a process and plan for achieving them.
Assemble Partners
With a defined plan and process, we select a team of collaborative design professionals with the best-matched skills. As a result, all our partners take pride in their work and share our desire for exceptional results.
Depending on the scope of your project, our team might include architecture, electrical, structural, or civil engineering; fire suppression; sustainability consulting; interior design; cost estimating; or other disciplines.
Define Expectations
The success of a project depends upon setting clear expectations amongst team members. We involve these experts early in the design process, when the project benefits most, and vet all ideas and innovations to align with your project goals. If codes require additional safety measures, we ensure they are incorporated and guide the building permit process. Communication and coordination are critical, so we hold regular meetings to review issues, including project progress, design opportunities and challenges, and client involvement. We document and share these notes with all team members to keep everyone on the same page.
Our attention to your project continues through Construction Administration, including OAC meetings, submittal reviews, RFI responses, site observations, review of Test and Balance reports, Commissioning, punch walks and report, and communication management.
"I’ve worked with 360 Engineering for nearly a decade. They have been exceptional at listening to our concerns and desires to provide an end product that works best for each situation. From my experience, engineers often believe there is only one way to do business and only one solution to every problem. In reality, the solutions available are vast, and you need an engineer that can identify goals and challenges, evaluate solutions both in terms of viability and cost, and make sure at the end of the day the system that is installed is what you paid for. 360 Engineering exceeds the mark on all fronts."

Scheduling and Fiscal Responsibilities
Maintaining project timelines and budgets stay at the forefront. 360 Engineering continually updates the schedule and includes it in progress reports for the team and you. We identify potential concerns at the start of the project, address issues early, and take corrective actions to avoid impacting the schedule or budget. With your feedback, the team develops thorough design documents integrating day-to-day operations, maintenance, and emergency shutdown procedures. We use exceptional concise documentation, a proven cost control strategy, and close coordination with costing professionals to obtain realistic, best-value pricing at 50%, 90%, and final design completion. Part of this is working with you to identify items to eliminate or construct later and any alternatives to keep project costs within budget.
Construction and Project Closeout
The ever-changing construction material market volatility continues to challenge project budgets and schedules. Our team utilizes different approaches to managing this. Pending the material needs and timelines we:
- Identify long lead items as soon as possible
- Check with equipment manufacturers regarding planned price adjustments
- Prioritize the scope of work to complete and develop documents that outline the base scope below budget and include associated alternatives.
- Consider alternative manufacturers and suppliers.
- If applicable, onboard the CMGC early for cost estimating and value engineering.
One key element to managing budget and schedule is to remain flexible and open to changing markets, manufacturers, and proposed solutions.
Addressing and Mitigating Risks
Risk mitigation and conflict resolution are similarly vital elements of a successful project.
- At the start, the design team identifies potential schedule and budget risks, including recommendations for mitigation such as budget allowances, contingency budgets, alternate materials, or other methods.
- We emphasize team coordination and communication to resolve most issues before they result in conflict.
- When issues arise, we hold formal, documented meetings where impacted parties express their concerns and desired goals.
We collaborate with all parties to find a resolution.
