NPS Fort Vancouver Multi-Park Museum Facility

  • Rehabilitation of a 14,000 SF 1980’s aircraft maintenance hangar into a multi-park museum collection repository supporting three million artifacts from four national parksĀ 
  • Planning and analysis: 360 Engineering led discovery, load calculations, and systems evaluation, partnering with Anderson Hallas to support NPS goals for reduced O&M costs, deferred maintenance, and museum-standard complianceĀ 
  • Value-based decision making: developed and presented three fully electrified mechanical system options using a Choosing by Advantage / Value Analysis framework to guide owner decision-makingĀ 
  • Mechanical solution: selected Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) HVAC system to minimize ductwork, maximize collection storage capacity, and support diverse occupancies with highly variable temperature and humidity requirements, including collections storage, general assembly space, library space, and officesĀ 
  • Performance and efficiency: VRF heat recovery enables energy transfer between zones, reducing overall energy consumption and fossil fuel reliance while maintaining strict environmental controls for collectionsĀ
